ABOUT ME

I’m an artist based in Carmarthenshire, West Wales - a landscape that never fails to stir my imagination. The shifting light, the rolling hills, the wild coastline and quiet moments of everyday life all find their way into my work. I’ve been creating for over 30 years, and each piece I make feels like part of an ongoing conversation between myself and this place I call home.My practice has evolved through curiosity and a love of discovery — experimenting with new materials, revisiting old techniques, and always finding fresh ways to express what I see and feel. I draw inspiration not only from the land but also from the people and stories that fill it, believing that art connects us to something shared and deeply human.Over the years, I’ve exhibited in local galleries, taken part in community art projects, and led creative workshops, all with the same purpose: to celebrate the beauty of creativity and encourage others to see the world differently. My journey has been one of constant learning, experimentation, and quiet joy — and I continue to create with a sense of gratitude, curiosity, and wonder.

ABOUT MY WORK

My work is rooted in a deep connection to place, memory, and imagination. The landscapes of Wales - its shifting light, rugged textures, and quiet rhythms - are constant sources of inspiration, weaving themselves into my creative process in ways both subtle and profound. Each piece I make holds its own story, emerging slowly through layers of exploration, accident, and intuition.I’m fascinated by how materials can guide the direction of a piece - clay, pigment, paper, or fabric all have their own voices, and I try to listen to what they want to become. No two works are ever quite the same, and I value that unpredictability; it mirrors the living, changing world around us.Ultimately, I aim to create art that offers a moment of pause - something that invites reflection, stirs curiosity, and resonates on a deeply personal level with those who encounter it.

BUY MY ART

A selection of my work is available to purchase directly from me.Each piece is one of a kind - created with patience, curiosity, and a genuine love for the materials I work with. I take great care in ensuring that every artwork feels complete and ready to find the right home, where it can continue its story beyond my studio. My work is also represented by a number of independent galleries across Wales. Every one of these galleries have been chosen for their commitment to supporting contemporary Welsh artists and celebrating creativity rooted in place. These spaces provide an opportunity for people to experience the work in person - to stand close, to see the texture of the surface, and to feel the atmosphere that can’t quite be captured in a photograph.Visiting a gallery is one of the most rewarding ways to encounter art. It allows the work to be seen as it was intended: in conversation with light, space, and the viewer’s own emotions. I’m deeply grateful to the curators and gallery owners who continue to showcase my pieces and help them find their way into new collections and homes. You can currently find a selection of my work at the following galleries:• The Tide Gallery, Tenby
• Y Stiwdio Glas, Aberystwyth
• Cwm Arts Collective, Llandeilo
• The Old Mill Gallery, Dolgellau
• Canfas y Ddraig, Cardiff
